The lake Moro
is one of the most charming spots of the territory of the Camonica
Valley. It’s origin is vulcanic, it’s length is 800 metres and the
width 300 metres. At it’s deeepest point the lake is 40 metres
deep and it lies on a heigth of 380 metres above sea level. One
can reach this lake via Darfo boario or Angolo Terme. It is the
ideal spot for who is interested in quiet places in the middel of
nature. It offers possibilities for long walks alongside the lake
which has a rich vegetation . In summer it is ideal for swimming
and romantic trips in rowing boats. Picturesque is the small
village Capodilago with little more than a tenfold of inhabitants,
who are the guardians of this incontaminated natural place. The
lake is fed by a small stream and by deeper sources under the lake
itself and is populated by all kinds of fish. The lake Moro can be
visited throughout the whole year with, as always, the warning to
respect at all times this very important and precious piece of
nature and to help protecting it. |
